I respect that you don't like Trump if you're at least able to admit that he is right about some things. That's what I call being reasonable. A lot of statistics have been claiming since the start that survival/recovery rates are quite high and that this is comparable to the flu at best, but it's a relatively new thing, so people will freak the fuck out because of it.

Well that is nothing new. We knew that already in March my friend. What you do forget however is that the recovery from the virus takes much much longer than the flu. Even the ones who are officially cured will still feel rather weak for months. Some might never be the same as they were before. If Trump mentioned that too fair enough but if not he's again underestimating and minimizing it.

I live in the absolute worst area of the world of this so called pandemic. I know dozens of people that tested positive. About a dozen had symptoms and most recovered within 4 days saying it was no worse than the flu. The exception was my good friend who was borderline obese who contracted pneumonia and was put on a resperator which probably ended up killing him. Do the research, check the numbers, this virus which is slightly worse than the yearly flu numbers should not be the reason of a global economic disaster. WAKE THE FUCK UP.

So either your place must have all strong people or some kind of immunity or just being the luckiest of all. I buy what I need or what I want. I'll do my job if they ask me too. But I keep my distance and do what I can not to catch or pass the virus. I'm not eager to try catching the virus. I might be unlucky to be an exception where the virus works fast such as an infected healthy nurse when the virus got caught in her heart and she died in a couple of hours. No not prepared to take the risk.

And for the flu there is a vaccine, for covid we are still waiting on that.

It's not the friggin' flu. My sister caught it in May and she still suffers symptoms: Loss of smell which has never fully recovered, and a cough that keeps coming and going. She is 39 and healthy. Her boyfriend got it too and they both said it's far worse than any flu they've had previously. You don't run out of breath getting from the bed to the bathroom with flu. It's happened to a lot of other people. I doubt Boris Johnson or Donald Trump would've ended up in hospital for a few days, the former in intensive care, if it was merely a bout of the flu.

Well then there must be a different strain over there in the U.K. cause that's not what is going on over here. Over half the folk over here are asymptomatic which I call bullshit.
