Oh yes I have seen Cannibal Apocalypse very recently. I didn't like it much looked more like a half baked zombie flick, also they took the movie too seriously lacked some good fun.

A tie for first, huh? I don't think I've ever come across anyone who couldn't pick between Ferox and Holocaust.

Have since seen Amazonia/White Slave as it had a few recs here, was quite good, must be the only cannibal courtroom drama... wait, maybe one of the many adaps of those german dudes where one was cannibal and one fantasised about being eaten.

Don't get the love for Welcome to the Jungle, blind bought it 2nd hand dvd for £1 few year ago & it was still a waste of money. Annoying brats arguing thier way through the jungle shaky cam style entertaining it isn't.

Since people are throwing in thier own suggestions I really like Long Pigs (2007) but it ain't no jungalist cannibal

it's a found footage jungle cannibal, zed & Znep have it in thier top 5 but i found it dull and the protagonists highly annoying. It does get a tiny bit interesting when they cannibals finally show up, but by then you've endured some 65mins of cunts getting lost and moaning. Oh, and the reason they go jungalist in the first place is ludicrous, they expect to find a dude who got lost in 1961...


i bought it in a 2nd hand shop coz it was cheap & i liked the cover. serves me right, shoulda got a GnR CD instead.

I think Znep and Zed must have been on coke watching that flick, when the annoying docu makers adventurers (if you can even call them that) finally discover the cannibals most of the audience must have fallen asleep already.
This one might actually beat The Blair witch Project on boredom and annoying characters.

I'd recommend Amazonia: The Catherine Miles Story if you haven't already, that is, if you don't mind the grittiness being replaced by a story with more substance.

That's a new one for me. Most jungle cannibal film plots run together in my mind, so an emphasis on story doesn't sound like a bad thing. If I can find it, I'll give it a watch this month.

I also second Amazonia aka White Slave. I don't think there is much cannibalism and cannibals in there but the story and characterisation is the best I have seen in any cannibal or jungle flick so far. I own it on DVD. It's a shame it gets a turkey score on imdb.

it's availible free on Amazon (hah!) Prime, as 'White Slave'. i started a free trial just to see it, entertaining enough & like Messiah said it has a bit more story than your average jungle cannibal flick

Dang, forgot about Adam and Eve vs. the Cannibals. Had that on tape as "Blue Paradise." Pretty good movie. Fancy production, cutesy plot, though they never faced off against any true cannibals, from what I remember. They were like primitive cavemen. Maybe there's an uncut version out there which goes full gusto and they chow down on Eve's vulva, but until then, it did seem to operate outside the usual Italian cannibalistic exploitation fodder.

I have just watched the Adam & Eve flick and yes it weren't real cannibals, some hairy cavemen. there is only 2 instances of cannibalism, one very brief shot where one of these cavemen is munching on his beaten opponent's tummy and another where a captured women is taken away by a group of those apemen. You don't see them actually eating her but the sounds imply it clearly.
Flick in itself was really cheesy like some kind of ripp off from the Blue Lagoon with some elements from The Quest for Fire thrown in. But it counts for the trash challenge (cannibalism and even though gore and nudity are really tame it's in there). If I learned one thing from it is that humanity is doomed not because Eve at the apple against God's will but because she stayed with such a wuss. If Adam got his wish we were still eating fruits all day long and watching the sunset, oh how exciting

Pretty dull, though 'Cannibal Mercenary/The Mercenary (1983)' is prolly more that you're looking for

Yup I have just seen Invader of the Lost Gold, it really is boring and fitting for the turkey challenge. One of the gals goes full naked swimming that was nice though.
