I don't know how they managed to fuck up a movie called Emanuelle And The Last Cannibals but it's extremely uninteresting.

Zombie Holocaust (I think it counts it does have cannibalism)

I knew I was forgetting one. That one wasn't bad.

I prefer Ferox because it's a lot of fun with hilarious one liners and just a more likable movie than Holocaust. The fuckedupness is secondary for me. If you really want to see a weak rehash, check out Bruno Mattei's 2003 entry into the genre, Cannibal Holocaust: The Beginning.

The lack of nudity in The Green inferno is a noticable difference but I didn't find it all that distracting. And I'd say the gruesome gore scenes more than makes up for any short comings. I watched it earlier for the third or fourth time and I find it better than ever. You should totally give it a chance sometime.

Ok. (Who is fucking who in that emoticon?)

Do you have a preference? I'm flexible.

So, Invaders of The Lost Gold is worth checking out? I see Zed recommended it too. But noticed IMDb has a pretty low rating and the reviews aren't kind. I still might check it out.

I too at one time used to place Ferox over Holocaust, but a semi recent viewing, maybe 6 months ago, proved to me that Holocaust is the mother of all cannibal films for a reason.

I just can't love it like the rest of you. I recognize that it's a damn good, well made film but I find so much more to like about the other cannibal epics. Holocaust is mostly a bunch of dicks being dicks to a sweet score.

Oh, right! You DID put it last on your list. I don't know why I was thinking that was simply a list of all the Cannibal movies you like. Yeah, holy fuck, that was bad! I watched that last night on Youtube about 1 am. As it would turn out, staying awake is not an easy thing to do on the pot while watching that movie. As far as I can tell, it's impossible.

Haven't seen Treasure Of The Amazon but it's very cheap on Amazon, so, I might add that to my next purchase. emoticon

The son of the guy who directed Night Of The Bloody Apes, you say? Must be the guy that made that killer cat movie, Blood Feast aka Night Of 1,000 Cats. (1972). My first attempt at renting the real Blood Feast was thwarted by that one.

A tie for first, huh? I don't think I've ever come across anyone who couldn't pick between Ferox and Holocaust.

I'd recommend Amazonia: The Catherine Miles Story if you haven't already, that is, if you don't mind the grittiness being replaced by a story with more substance.
