I'm 99% sure it was Bron that tackles him away into the sea but could it have been Tyrion?...could Tyrion?! It's been fucking with me mind all morning! It all happens so fast.

Tyrion? He was watching from up on the hill as his brother rode towards Drogon and Dany calling him a "fucking idiot".. But you never know, he could have sprinted super fast and launched himself several feet in the air in the air from the other side.. emoticon

Yeah, I know that's why I give it a 1%er! I think you meant Dracayras.

as you pointed out earlier, characters have a tendancy to travel exceptionally quickly in this series, so it's entirely plausible Tyrion tackled his bro into the lake. pond? handily situated whatever it was.

amazing how Jamie n co could march to and defeat the Tyrels before Dany's lot realised they weren't at Castor LeRoc, yet they couldn't get back to King's landing in the time it took: Jon n Dany to explore some caves, then chat with Tyrion n Davos, then gather all the Dothraki & horses onto ships and cross the sea dragon in tow.

still, at least they haven't killed Bron off yet. Since season 4 they've chickened out of knocking off main and/or loveable characters, preferring pseudo kills like Hound & Snow. can't see that going on much longer mind you

Agreed. The dragon CGI was probably some of the best CGI I have seen, including in any movie.

However I still get bothered by distances, i.e. how long it took Dany to mobilise the Dothraki and get over to intercept Jaime's army.

Finally, do we think Jaime is dead?! I hope not.. I think he still has a big role to play. Plus why would he be told by Olenna that she poisoned Joffrey only for that information to go with him to the grave..

I think it may be Jaime's time. Would have been disappointed had nobody major died at the end of that episode. Cersei doesn't really need to know the truth about Joffrey's death. It's not like it would change anything.

I don't know. Obviously Tyrion would be exempt from blame, although she would still consider him a trator of course for working with Dany and murdering their father. And I don't think Jaime's story/character arc is over yet - to kill him off like that seems anti-climatic. He is still on a redemption path, and is the show's main anti-hero. Although this is Game of Thrones, so yeah I wouldn't take anything for granted. I just feel he has a role to play in the downfall of Cersei..

Mayhe Bronn dies, after his selfless and heroic act. Seems more fitting, although I can't see him just drowning either..

The thing about Jaime is that he doesn't have much of a story/character arc outside whatever's going on with Cersei. So, I wouldn't necessarily be shocked by an anti-climactic death. A death which only serves to drive Cersei (closer) to the breaking point. It's a shame cuz I thought he was pretty cool the first few seasons. Jaime's been nothing more than his sister's one dimensional sympathyzer since season 4.

I think Tyrion will have him fished out and convince Danaryrs he would make a good bargaining chip and will in a way crush Cersei's spirit.

^This. But Tyrion will end up setting his brother free (as Lannisters always pay their debts).

Decent episode but now I am having real problems with distances and time.. I mean come on, it must have taken weeks of sea travel for Jon to get from Dragonstone up to the Wall but it lterally happens in the next scene. And then there is the scene were Davos and Tyrion "pop over" to Kings Landing in what seems like one day..

Hell, I was hoping Sam would catch back up with Jon before the episode was over. emoticon

You can tell the show is winding down by all the reunions. SO many reunions. Arya and The Hound should be a cool moment.

Yes, a reunion like some of these a season or two ago would have been considered a big talking point in the show and have an emotional resonance.. but now it feels like, oh look Arya is back with Sansa and Bran, Jaime is back with Tyrion (which should have been a far better, more emotional scene).. that's nice..

I guess they were trying to save as much big shit as possible for the last couple seasons, but season 4 or 5 could have used one of those reunions. Having so many in such a short amount of time kinda diminishes them.

Fuck yes! I'm not even sure we could handle a full 10 episodes of this season. Epicness overload.

The distances/time part of the show is just ridiculous at this point.

I've recently caught up on Season 7. I still enjoy it, but I think the first three seasons were by far the best of the show. It's gotten worse with every following season (even though the battles/special effects are awesome).

I agree to a certain extent. The human drama has been replaced with spectacle, probably as a result of obviously no longer following any books. As for the distance thing, it once took Arya most of a season to get from the Inn at the Crossroads to the Twins, which is about a quarter of the distance it just took Jon and co to get from Dragonstone to the Wall in a single scene..
