I think this season gets better with each episode. Tyrion and Jon Snow crossing paths again was cool. I always figured Snow and Dany would fall in love before the show ends. Naturally, it begins with a little rivalry. He is so much more likable than her, it isn't even funny. Maybe she'll end up turning evil and killing him in the end. Wouldn't mind that.
As impractical as Tyrion ending up with the throne may be, that's probably the most feel good ending they could come up with, and I doubt many people would be dissappointed, but I just see him merely having a very happy ending. Either the newly turned evil Dany gets killed and Jon rules, or newly turned evil Dany kills Jon and rules. I feel like this whole thing has just been Dany finding her inner evil. After White Walkers go down, that should be the last step before the end, imo.
Here's my prediction. Jon and Dany will have a a bit of a rivalry which might get a little out of hand. One of them is close to death, the other one realizes they've fallen for them. So, they join forces and ultimately become the first king and queen that are equals. But hopefully, that won't happen.
I also predict the fucking will be put off until next season.
I think it may be Jaime's time. Would have been disappointed had nobody major died at the end of that episode. Cersei doesn't really need to know the truth about Joffrey's death. It's not like it would change anything.
The thing about Jaime is that he doesn't have much of a story/character arc outside whatever's going on with Cersei. So, I wouldn't necessarily be shocked by an anti-climactic death. A death which only serves to drive Cersei (closer) to the breaking point. It's a shame cuz I thought he was pretty cool the first few seasons. Jaime's been nothing more than his sister's one dimensional sympathyzer since season 4.
I guess they were trying to save as much big shit as possible for the last couple seasons, but season 4 or 5 could have used one of those reunions. Having so many in such a short amount of time kinda diminishes them.
Not that there's an actual argument for that, but it's just so good, does it really matter that they're shitting all over continuity and common sense and insulting the intelligence of the audience? Nah...
I just enjoyed the near filler-less season too much to have any gripes, myself. Of course it wasn't perfect, and I can't very well disagree with much you said there, but it just threw so much long awaited and unexpected good shit at us, so, whatevs.
Jon Snow and Dany getting together hasn't seemed quite as out of place as I always expected. Still not a Dany fan. Jon's the shit. Undead Ice-Dragon was probably the highlight for me. Great idea, there! Littler Finger's demise was satisfying enough. Probably coulda been better, but the look on his face was priceless.
Although, I'm not down with short season 7 and short season 8. I'd prefer a 15 episode season 7. Last week should have been a half season finale like they do on The Walking Dead, and they could pick up in a few months so the rest of us can enjoy a little GOT during the Winter months for fucking once.
I figured Tormund wouldn't have survived Dany's attack a couple episodes ago. It seemed like someone signigicant shouldn't have survived. Glad he did, though. Jaime, too, cuz I really thought he was a goner, but I assume his death will be alot more special, later on.
So, I hear only 7 episodes, this season. I also heard they'd be long ones. Not the case so far.
While an obivous continuity flaw, the show as a whole, is very slow moving, so, I'm pretty ok with any aspect that's not
