Fortress and Cat O' Nine Tails.

When I first saw Fortress,
I was expecting something grittier and tougher, ala ''The Escape From NY of the 90's''.
But I've learned to appreciate it, and I currently have it ranked #5 on my all-time list.
It has such a polished look to it, Lambert's character is infinitely unselfish, and the scenes with his wife are simply memorable.
7/10

I think Nine Tails highly raised my expectation with it's title alone, especially since it's a 70's release.
The picture/dubbing are bland and, like most giallos, is deliberately-paced.
But I've developed an appreciation for it over the years, as it has it's moments,
the performances are satisfactory, and the blonde has a good-sized tank for a skinny dame.
6/10 upon multiple views

I didn't like Anacona vs Whanal III at first but it grew on me

I've had to train myself to like a LOT of movies. There are plenty of them I thought were dumb as fuck first time around, and eventually grew into loving. I'll name a few memorable ones...

Donnie Darko - Hated it when I first saw it. I probably just didn't get it.
Dracula '31 - I'm not gonna lie. It's pretty boring. However, it's also equally fascinating in a cultural sense.
Trash Humpers - Harmony Korine's video documentary about evil old fucks. I never made it past 20 minutes on at least 2 attempts, then I got really high. Immediately, I learned to appreciate it. That goes for most all of Harmony Korine's work. It pisses you off at first, but then you fall in a deep, sexual relationship with it until you too tape bacon to your bathroom wall.

Agreed about Decampitated and Polyester. I loved Redneck Zombies right away though. The burping dog is an insta-win.

I used to think all shot-on-video flicks were worthless.

You might enjoy Blonde Death (1984). Life changing punk trash. Includes lines like "I'm so sexed up right now, I could pump it to a weasel in a mini-skirt."

Fortress 5/10 Decent for a TV film the acting of the kids was good, you've gotta wonder why the baddies plan of attack was to run in and do a bellyflop on top of the fire

cat of nin tails 7/10 We have the killer by huge coincidence killing someone moments before they are about to divulge a clue not once, but twice, which is a bit weak though this film is very nicely filmed. A little bit overlong but never boring. The womans hair is distracting to say the least

Oh OK, a mainstream film, my mind automatically went to the oz quazi-horror film 100% pure crap, though I see the other has chris lambert so that means its at least 50% crap minimum (and good bless the french fucker and his hair also)

Christopher Lambert and Stuart Gordon could only equal pure awesomeness.
