So excluding stuff like The Shawshank Redemption (1994), The Green Mile (1999) and
Stand by Me (1986). Just strictly horror. I found it difficult to restrict it to just five but here is what makes my top five:

Storm of the Century (1999 Mini-Series)
Pet Sematary (1989)
The Dark Half (1993)
The Shining (1980)
It (1990 Mini-Series)

There were a lot that missed the cut for me, especially The Dead Zone (1983) but it can't be helped. What sbout you? What are your Top 5 Stephen King horror adaptations?

Creepshow

Silver Bullet
Tales from the Darkside
Salem's Lot

Not soure if TftD counts but Cat from Hell was my favourite episode in it anyway. If it's not allowed probably one of the other ones with creatures/monsters in it. I've never been a fan of Carrie, Firestarter etc. and all the ones based around people. I don't dislike them but give me monsters, zombies and demon kitties anyday emoticon

Oddly enough I just finished reading Skeleton Crew and started on Nightmares and Dreamscapes this week. Wish some more of them would get adpated, especially in an anthology.

God I completly forgot about the Nightmares and Dreamscapes mini series. I really need to watch that. I think I seen 'The Fifth Quarter' which was near the end of the series then didn't watch the others with the intention of watching the whole series but never got around to it.

I don't remember that one (Sorry, Right Number') but remembered 'Word Processor of the Gods'. Now that I think about it there's more from those books that have been adapted than I first thought. Quicksilver Highway (Chattery Teeth), Dolan's Cadillac, The Night Flier etc. I'd still like to see adaptations of The Jaunt, Survivor Type and Rainy Season (as long as the cgi was good) though emoticon

Pet Sematary is my favourite book of his and the film did it absolutely no justice at all IMO. I think this one is better left in book form.
