This shit about the Corona virus is the absolute hogwash. I have two jobs that are negatively affected by this tripe, and for no good reason.

Job A is a stockboy at the local dollar store. People come in buy more toilet paper than they would need in a month. But truth be told, they're probably buying it because they know everyone else is panic-buying it because they're dumb fucking cunts. Of all things to stockpile on, why does the world think it's going to shit itself unrelentingly over a virus that people seem to be recovering just fine from? I heard Tom Hanks is doing just fine.

Some dude at work was explaining viruses to me and said that my excessive drinking wont kill Corona virus, because the virus itself isn't technically alive. What kind of shit is this? There's only one way to seek the truth in this case, and it's to drink more of @der's whiskey. You know, just to be sure...

Can you believe how far these assholes are going with this? Not only are people buying up every bit of toilet paper, hand sanitizer, rubbing alcohol, and bottled water that we have, but they've complained so much that it's become a movement. Businesses are following in the masses' need for redundant precautions and the result is mind numbing: Businesses are closing down over this virus, and it's crippling the economy. Trump might start paying us all thousands of bucks just because of everyone's ignorance, but you know what? I'll take it. I get the feeling that a lot of the overblown nature of this "pandemic" is just a scheme. A scheme that's backfiring hardcore on the perpetrator, because smart people will see through this bullshit.

Corona Brewery must be writhing in pain from this. There are actually some imbeciles out there who are attributing the beer to the cause of this. I don't know about you, but I like Corona. They're a damn fine beer.

America is acting really stupid right now. Anyone want to weigh in on this Corona crap?

Some Update: People are still buying toilet paper. I don't get it, and they don't get it either. They're just doing it. The customers I converse with are all in agreement. There's nothing to worry about and we're panicking over nothing.

Anybody here think that Corona is overhyped, or am I being ignorant? The media hypes this up, but I've read a few interesting statistics: 99% of corona people recover. Tom Hanks sure did, because he's Forrest fucking Gump. Idris Elba will recover, because he's a nondescript sexy black actor.

Corona is a great beer. Me and der drank dozens of those tiny bottles. This virus is dramatization to the max. I think I might be safe from the economical downfall, since I work at a grocery store. Plus, Trump's new plan might reward me some money, but not with my luck!

While the grocery store is doing okay, the theater is shut down indefinitely. I had to detail clean that nasty-ass bar, because we have a rat problem. I have seen rats at my old (now defunct) theater. My old boss killed the shit out of those rats. I haven't seen any at my current theater, but I did at the grocer. Gigantic fucker!

Out of some twisted sense of loyalty to the company that neither me nor Ken can understand (he's my BFF at Cinemark, because he has stories dating back to Creedence Clearwater Revival. He's a goddamn legend), I did follow through with that shit, because as much as I hate it, I'll still always love those stupid movie theaters I worked at.

I guess indefinately means for about three weeks? Or a month? The government will shut down in this amount of time, so who knows what will happen. Again, I think the government is reacting to media influences far too much, and the country is only making the problem worse. I'm still working in the jobs I can. As much as I've thought about quitting this job before, I've finally found a good reason to keep with it. Discount stores are a valuable commodity.

Also, in the case that I am genuinely misunderstanding the severity of it because I'm a legit dumbass, I hope I don't die from the macaroni virus.

If you or I, or just about anyone else on this site got the virus, we would all most likely be just fine. The problem is, it's highly contageous. And you can be carrying the virus for over a week before you even know you have it, the whole time passing it on to every single person you cross paths with. This includes your elderly loved ones and family members, who may not all be nearly as likely as you are to survive.

I guess I am the asshole here, because I'm still working at a place with lots of traffic. I'm not terribly unhegenic, but now you got me thinking I might be killing old people?! Ah jeez!

And there you have it. I just got laid off from the movie theater. At least I still have one job... a job in which I run into a lot of potentially contagious troglodytes who need TP for their bungholes. But goddamn, do I have a lot of ideas for Trash Epics, and maybe just enough time to work on them.

FUCK some of those people that work there. Especially the GM. They don't treat their employees there right at all! I'm so sorry to hear this, and if you ever need anything please let me know.
You've been nothing but loyal to them and for them to do that to you really pisses me off.
The company itself is a good company bc I used to work at another location and they treated their staff WAY better than they do there.
I hope that place gets shut down for good.

Rats?! Wow I am actually shocked, but I guess it just shows me how dirty they really are.

Again I'm sorry you have to deal with this bullshit.

Anyways, I agree I think this whole thing is fucking annoying. Why the fuck are people stocking up on toilet paper?! I went grocery shopping today with @Pick and it was AWFUL.

Ken got laid off too. He was hoping to get a $1000 gift card from the company for staying with them for eons, but I told him, "Ken, you know they're just going to lay you off before that happens!"

Doesn't bother me. I only worked there for the free pizza and to hang out with that old man. I'd gotten to a point a while ago where I'd contemplate how I could quit in a dramatic way. Never quit because I could never think of a cool way to do it, though...

People used old newspaper back in the day but I guess that's too rough for their vulnerable behinds.

If this is anything like the shit I came down with last month, then the toilet paper thing is understandable. But I've heard it doesn't affect the bowels. However, I've also heard that it does. Lots of conflicting reports as fucking always. Speaking of which, our friend, Kevin Vanhentenryck sure has some interesting theories on who's to blame for all this. emoticon

Hmm, let me guess!

But no, really... I can't put any of this on the Trumpster because his only part in this whole mess will be the cleanup after people have turned this country into shit over a strange mass hysteria.

Well can you blame the Chinese where it all started? Or how about all these people travelling? I remember when I was little we went once a year during the summer vacation away for a week or 2 max and usually to neighbour countries. Nowadays people seem to travel further and several times a year: summer (beach) vacation, winter (ski) holidays, hiking holidays etc. Ok that there is very little traveling now especially by plane is good for the environment. I'm not one of these climate activists as they got pretty annoying at times but I like however that it makes people stop (at least for a while) their hectic life and dedication to see the most exotic places just because they can or have too much money they don't know where else to spend on. I hope humanity comes out stronger out of this crisis and unified instead of divided. Oh yeah and make sure there will be a vaccin because it might return.

Well Box the golden rule they have set keep a distance of 1,5 metre from the people you are not living with under the same roof. Even if the other has no symptoms he/she still can be carrier of the virus since it can take up to 14 days before you get symptoms. A lot of people might only get light or no symptoms at all but meanwhile can still pass on the virus.

So yes we are doing well here with no kissing, hugging or shaking hands with beloved ones. Especially the elder people and those with diseases like cancer are high risk.

And to keep in touch with friends I actually increased my gaming on Steam activity a lot and it's fun. It's hard for people who are outgoing and such but it has to be done. I am not that outgoing so I don't find it too hard to be semi-locked up
