I've always had a thing for Time Travel. Always found it fascinating ever since I watched the Back To The Future Trilogy as a kid. And, to me, it's what really makes the Terminator franchise so interesting. Anyone have any underseen recs for the challenge? what are your favorite time travel movies?

Recently, I was quite blown away by the entire Planet of the Apes series. Had I known that time-travel played such an integral part of that series, I'd have watched it sooner. Trancers is another great one. Not really great because of story or anything, but great because of the Jack Deth character.

I think The Terminator is still my favorite, because it creates such a great sense of lingering paranoia. 12 Monkeys, The Butterfly Effect, Predestination, Back to the Future, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Edge of Tomorrow, and Hot Tub Time Machine are all great. Nothing too obscure here, though...

TV has some great time-travel stuff too. Dark Shadows has got to have the best time-travel drama out there, but 11.22.63 recently was damn good. And everybody likes Quantum Leap, right?

Trancers 5 is really just Trancers 4: Part 2. It's like they took one above-average length movie and cut it into two fairly short movies (70min runtimes?). It's the same setting, and yeah... 4&5 are a big step down. They're like shitty ren-fair movies with our hero reduced to a feeble plot device.

Don't even worry about Trancers 6. It doesn't even have Tim Thomerson in it. Why bother?

He's definitely one of those B-movie legends, along the lines of Bruce Campbell, Michael Sopkiw, and to a lesser extent, George Hardy.

Tim Thomerson has 2 more minor Jack Deth roles in the Pulse Pounders segment and Evil Bong. Thomerson isn't very cool in "Near Dark", but I like him in the "Tour of Duty" episode where he plays a drunk sergeant, and "Fade to Black", where he's the detective out to stop the main guy.

I'm eagerly awaiting the release of this movie.
