Alllll righty then, we have the coronavirus to worry about. Beautiful. Just... beautiful. It sounds like, over the course of this month, things should get a hell of a lot scarier. So, what better time to watch horror movies, or sci-fi movies, dealing with plagues, or general viral outbreaks? Or TV shows, or books... I'm not being too picky here. Just generally any kind of story we can find out there that has some kind of plague going on. What comes to mind for you? I'll throw out a few. If you have anything to say about any of these, or any movies of your own, fire away. I know there are shitloads of movies about vampire and zombie plagues, so I don't know whether to count too many of them. I included a few. I guess if they are of high quality, then include them? Your call.
Twelve Monkeys (1995, and also 2015-2018)
Contagion (2011)
Outbreak (1995)
The Stand (1994, and hopefully this year for the new version)

The Last Man on Earth (1964)
The Omega Man (1971)
Quarantine (2008)
REC (2007)

The concepts of Outbreak (combined with the scenes I'd seen as a kid) scared the hell out of me back then. Don't know if I'd be phased now.
Last Man on Earth is classic Vincent Price gold.
Cabin Fever is great. The remake sucks my sweaty asshole.
And finally, I LOVE 28 Days/Weeks later. I think those were some fantastic movies, and why they never went on longer, I'll never know. I'm still waiting for 28 Months Later! At this rate, it'll be more like 28 Years Later.
I remember watching some George Buck Flower movie "The Alpha Incident", and if you had the infection and fell asleep, you'd kerplode. Not terrible.
Here's a list of "infection" titles on TE:
