I've been on a real Ween kick lately. I couldn't tell you who that song sounds like, but I have noticed a few times where it sounds like they're blatantly trying to sound like someone else. For instance Bananas and Blow sounds just like Jimmy Buffett, It's Gonna Be a Long Night sounds just like Motorhead, and Gabrielle sounds just like Thin Lizzy.
I dont know jimmy buffet, but the other 2 yes I picked them as well.
very good Lemmy and phil impersonations.
I've picked at less 10 songs where they are obviously doing another band.
Actually I might see if I can make a list
Buckingham green - genesis (actually I would love to them make an album with this style) Friends - ? I know it but cant think at the moment With my own bare hands - ? ditto the fruit man - XTC woman and man - santana gabrielle - thin lizzy the rift - roxy music its gonna be a long night - motorhead chocolate town - eagles maybe? (dont know too much about that band) if you could save yourself - wish I knew, sounds a bit like steve wilson, but better than anything hes done Exactly where I'm at - Grandaddy (though a bad one) Even if you don't - ? know it though stay forever - big star falling out - ? gah another that I can't place I'm dancing in the show tonight - zappa a bit (singing esp) she wanted to leave - peter gabriel a tear for eddie - funkadelic guitarist (though hes only like this in a few songs)
Don't Get 2 Close (2 My Fantasy) - Bowie Waving my Dick in the wind - ?
Al Jourgensen is once again claiming that Ministry's next album will be their last. Gee, when have I heard that before? Their last five albums were all supposed to be their last! You can't just keep saying that, Al! I'll believe it when I see it. Ministry won't end until Al is dead, which, realistically, should have happened years ago.
Listening to Brain Donor https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brain_Donor
listed on wiki as hard/garage/psychedelic rock,
Nah mate if I had to choose what sort of rock its space rock, listen to 'pagan dawn' and tell me its not so
I listen to music on spotify. Theres a feature where you click on the artists name and you see where the the other listeners come from
like ATM I'm listening to Tera Melos
top 5 places are Chicago, LA, Seattle, Denver, Atlanta
The funny thing is if you click on a classical composer the top 5 is often dominated by mexico & south america. USA rarely makes a place in the top 5, European cities yes, but USA nah not into classical music.
eg for a laugh 'The Who' top 5
London, Sydney, San Paulo, Toronto, Melbourne
Picked up Roger Waters' new (and not so improved) version of Darkside Of The Moon the other day. A more dreary, bland take on the material. Not without some decent moments, but still as unnecessary as unnecessary gets. However, we're treated to "pretentious story time with Roger" during the longer instrumental parts, where he rambles about completely unrelated shit.
In related news. ol' Roger recently pulled an Andy Kaufman during what was supposed to be a live performance of this album in London, where he decided the audience would be better off hearing him read his upcoming book. Apparently, this lasted for at least an hour as he cursed at those who walked out.

Hey maybe the cunts good. I just find it funny never heard about him till yesterday and now its 2x in 2 days. I must of heard/read his name over the last few years, being the biggest artist of the 2000s but it was just blah blah in my ears and didnt stick around in my brain. Hmmm I guess that shows I only know musicians that get in the gosspi columns
Excuse me but wtf is BTS? I remember Usher from 20-25 years ago when I still listened to pop music radio but tbh I never cared about R&B hip hop artists.
fuck you I just check and BTS is correct. I dont think BTS do rap (at least its not there main focus)
Dude you're out of touch, BTS are in the news every so often, eg recently theres talk about their military service. now the Cunt Usher, has never been in the news, justin timberlake yes (I might not know any of his music but I know the name)
I know it but just can't think of it and its bugging me
