I blind bought these two recently and plan on watching them at the weekend.

Any thoughts on these two movies?

It is reassuring these films are getting the thumbs up here - it makes it the more probable that I will dig them.

I actually really like romance in horror movies, not the sappy kind but the kind from return of the living dead 3 - the twisted kind emoticon

I was just reading your review of Spring. Great review! I love horror movies with great scenery. This movie really seems up my alley.

I admit for a long time Radcliffe put me off the idea of watching Horns but having read the positive reviews of it. I will give it a go. It seems another kinda of twisted horror romance kind of film. Would I be correct?

You have good taste in horror, Box. We seem to have a shared appreciation in these character-driven horror movies. Any suggestions of good movies to check-out like these?

Thanks for the recs!

I have a few if you haven't seen them:

Habit 1995
Dead Leaves 1998
Dance of the Damned 1989
Till Death 1978
Zombie Honeymoon 2004
Blood & Donuts 1995
Tale of a Vampire 1992
Shadows of the Dead 2004
The Iron Rose 1973

For non-horror recs check out Before Sunset/Sunrise films. Very similar in cinematography from what I read.

Bug is a very good rec. I seen that the other week and it fits that style and atmosphere.

Spring has haunted me. A wonderful, thoughtful horror. One of my best blind buys. Gorgeous scenery, and beautiful plot.

I am surprised you liked Spring. I thought you didn't like romantic horror movies?

Ah, ok, I see.

I don't rate that way myself, but different strokes.

Spring is superb. Imagine Before Sunset/Sunset meets body horror.
