Uh, yeah, I did give up on marvel, and nothing I just said negates that. They're trying desperately to win me back (along with about a third of the rest of the fans who jumped ship after Endgame) with their purported new tactics, but they continue to pump out shit regardless. I already said I'm not watching it. I might jerk it to Brie later though.

Why even bother watching the trailers then in all honesty? I was never a big fan of Disney Marvel, we've had this debate for a decade. Infinity War was their peak, Endgame kinda sucked imo and it only got steadily worse ever since. Shang-Chi was the endgame for me, haven't watched no shows, no trailers, no nothing... I've been out. I'm feeling kinda perverse perhaps I'll rub one out looking at pics of Brie's feet later?

Sometimes, trailers are unavoidable. Sometimes, you watch them out out of some sadistic sense to torture oneself, hoping they'll find their way back to glory. I keep hoping I'll be blown away by something Marvel teases, but even with a somewhat intriguing premise, I know it's going to be the same old shit that made me run away from them in the first place. Don't worry, Vince. I'm cutting all ties, slowly but surely.

I like to see the astronomy stuff they can put on the screen these days, in all those movies. The Guardians movies have a lot of scenes in space, of course. So did some of the more recent Avengers movies, especially Infinity War and Endgame. Like, anything showing ringed planets, or planets with multiple moons, or areas in space with lots of asteroids. It's hard for me to pinpoint exactly how the technology has improved over the years, but it clearly has. Compare recent depictions of astronomical vistas with... I don't know, maybe the ending of Screamers, or of course the first trilogy of Star Wars pictures. I mean, damn.

The effects are fine, but I'm not crazy about the cosmic aspect of Marvel. I prefer the earthbound stuff, otherwise I can't get into it. Maybe the new Alien show will give us proper space sci-fi.
