Agreed about superheros. I don't get how these movies became so popular amongst adults to the point that everyone is out of the closet.

I know I have a lot of these, but am drawing a blank at the moment.

Although I have always found Cannibal Holocaust to be overrated. Probably only the 3rd or 4th best of the cannibal movies, imo. Never saw it as THE best.

Also, I find Alien and The Thing to be painfully uninteresting.

I love the original Star Wars trilogy mainly for nostalgia reasons, 1st live action film I saw at theatres aged 4. Grew up playing with the toys in the late 70s early 80s, big part of my childhood. Didn't much care for the prequels but they're masterpieces next to Disney's sequel trilogy imo. Disney bought the IP for 4 billion to turn it into shows for a streaming service they lose money on, good thing for ESG, Blackrock and Vanguard I guess? Never cared for Disney Marvel much either... Punisher Warzone being the only DVD I own in my collection. Is that even Disney? Anyways Disney sucks imo, it's where IPs go to die.

I do prefer Exorcist III over the original...Brad Dourif is great in that part.

To bash Disney some more... remember they bought Fox for about $70 billion. I read somewhere that it was a bad deal for them because they wanted to milk some of the Fox franchises, but still barely touched those properties, so they're nowhere near making that money back. They've made a few billion back after some of their Avengers and Star Wars turkeys, but still have about $60 billion dollars they need to make up? I hope they crash and burn.

Yeah you're the first person here to share my same sentiment on Midsommar. Most people here seem to love that film and gave me shit for my take on it. Florence Pugh is terrible and grating imo.

Hey now, I hate Midsommar too! But surprisingly, I think Florence was one of the better parts of Marvel's turkeys Black Widow and Hawkeye.

I actually don't have a problem with her either. I just don't like the movie.

I remember you saying you didn't care for it, I didn't think you hated it. We both agreed Hereditary was vastly superior.

I found it pretty unbearable on a second viewing. In retrospect, it's far too derivative of Hereditary, only more self-indulgent (as in longer runtime). Also, I found the original Wicker Man pretty boring, and this is copying that even.
