It's a favorite of mine too - fun, fun film and Jenny Agutter (grrr!). The final scene was filmed at the water garden in Fort Worth and I visited that place many a time when I lived in Dallas.

70's sci/fi does have a vibe of its own. Probably my favorite period for sci/fi films - even more than the 50's.
