I've never seen any of those movies, but if stuff actually happened in them, then that's one thing they don't have in common. If you've seen a movie called Frozen Flesh, it's more like that.

no Ive seen 1 or 2, and nothing happens, its like 1 minute of stuff and 100 minutes of filler.
I can remember watching one, and in the scene they were watching a video where nothing happens and the characters watching the video started fast forwarding the video in the film. I was so fucking bored with them fast fowarding the film where nothing happens, so I fast fowarded them fast fowarding the film. Yes very meta.
I don't normally fast forward a film (cant remember the last time I done it, not at least for a tyear or two) but if Im fast forwarding your film, it fucking sucks

I haven't seen Skinamarink but Frozen Flesh was unwatchable. Not a big fan of the Paranormal Activity series but IMO 3 was the best of the bunch easily, it's basically a prequel to the first 2 so watching out of order isn't a problem.

Seems to be a love it or hate it type of film. I saw it was made for only $15,000 and took in over 2 million at the Box Office. Hollywood wishes they could bring in those type returns.

I really think it may resonate more so with people who grew up with a parent or parents missing from the household.
The movie made me feel the way I did when I was 7 years old and my mom had died. It put me back into that time period and all those childhood fears came back.
I truly thought the movie was scary and had such a lonely hopeless tone to it. Brought back the "monster under the bed" type fears. I also like how people have different interpretations of it. I can understand how not everyone would like it. It is incredibly minimalist.

I don't know. I think they might have accidentally had the camera pointed in the wrong direction.
