Wasn't there a thread about this already? Maybe I posted something in the shout box. Anyway, I'm just thinking about this subject. Iron Man 2 has a LOT of stuff drawn from Lethal Weapon 2, especially the ending in the shipyard. Iron Man 3, which I have on right now, has a scene that is like a combination of scenes from Lethal Weapon 1 and 2. It combines the scene where the helicopter attacks Tom Atkins' house, in Lethal Weapon 1, with the scene where Riggs and Murtaugh destor the house on stilts, in LW2. I bet there are other things... I remember noticing a bunch of them one time, not too long ago. Possibly within thelast six months or so.

Anyway, had to share. Try watching the first two Lethal Weapon movies and Iron Man 2 and 3 within a few days sometimes, and see if you notice anything else.

I've had these discussions with you about the MCU for close to a decade now dating back to the HB. It's only my opinion but most of these films are overrated AF. General consensus was IM2 was the weakest of the 3, honestly I think they're all average at best. The only of these films I ever gave a 2nd view was Guardians of the Galaxy, Infinity War and The Winter Soldier...the rest are mediocre to bad imo. TBH I think the X-Men and Spiderman films are better than the MCU but not by much. Most MCU films I've rated are a 5-6/10 only cause they had good production value not cause they're films I wanna watch again and again. Box, I know you remember us having debates concerning The Punisher films on the HB. I will always champion Punisher Warzone cause
a) it's the only Punisher production that gets his origin story right.
b) Ray Stevenson is the only actor to ever actually resemble The Punisher from the comics of them all including Berenthal.
c) In these type films you need a good villain, Jane's Punisher has the worst villain in maybe comic book film history in Travolta...he absolutely ruins the film.
d) I get to screw with woke MCU Stans by correcting them that The Eternals wasn't the 1st Marvel film directed by a woman, it was Lexi Alexander on Punisher Warzone...bonus points!

I probably should have put this on Znep's unpopular opinion thread but here we are...rant over.

We all know I'm a strongly opinionated douche but I try to be honest in my opinions. As I remember Ragnarok was fun and better than most imo. I don't remember the 1st Thor very well but have recently rewatched Dark World and can say that film is a huge steaming pile. A lot of fans love Endgame and say after is when things started to turn...I disagree, Thor became cucked in Endgame and ruined his character besides it started the whole time travel idea creating this multiverse nonsense we find the universe now in where there is no accountability and anything can be explained away no matter how nonsensical. It's become utter crap imo.

That's funny cause the only 2 Marvel films I ever saw in the cinemas was Blade 1&2. Dorff isn't wrong, the idea of making a Blade or for that matter a Punisher film PG or even PG-13 is absurd. I love Warzone for the fact it's so violent, gory and over the top... it's supposed to be! I find it funny that an Indy film like Everything Everywhere All At Once could do a better job of a multiverse story in 1 film than Disney could do in how many films/shows now?!

Sorry for hijacking your post with my rant there Tommix. I see the parallels now that you have pointed them out. I haven't seen IM2 since a little after it 1st came out but IM3 I only watched maybe a year ago for the 1st time so it's a bit fresher in my memory.
