Day 12-13:
In Search of Darkness (2019) 264 min + horror + FTV = 309
Day 14-15:
In Search of Darkness II (2020) 263 min + horror + FTV = 308

More obscure titles mentioned in the second one, stuff I've never seen. Good coverage without retreading the same old concepts. Good to see Tom Atkins featured plenty.

Day 16:
Marvel 75 Years: From Pulp to Pop! (2014) 42 min + FTV = 67
Hail to the Deadites (2020) 79 min + horror + FTV = 124
Day 17:
Behind the Mask (2021) 65 min + FTV = 90
Day 19:
Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street (2019) 99 min + horror + FTV = 144

A lot of self-pity, but plenty of coverage on the overlooked Elm Street 2. Pretty interesting, though Mark Patton was a bit misguided in thinking the writer was out to get him. The writer seemed to have a decent story subtext that was misconstrued as making fun of homosexuality.

Day 20:
Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror (2019) 83 min + horror + black + FTV = 158

Sure, this doc is showcasing racism in black movies, but a lot of it is perceived racism. They read into some shit way too much. The Creature from the Black Lagoon is not a black metaphor, nor is The Day the Earth Stood Still. And they sure do love to suck the dicks of some black movies, no matter how subpar they are. They were acting like Blacula was a great piece of cinema, for fuck's sake. And "Get Out" is NOT a gamechanging horror movie! Overall, this doc is super racist.

Day 22-23:
Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th (2013) 400 min + horror + FTV = 445

Thorough examination, giving each entry plenty of coverage. Sad to see now knowing a lot of those interviewed have died since this was made.

Day 24:
Leap of Faith: William Friedkin on the Exorcist (2019) 104 min + horror + FTV = 149

Friedkin explaining a lot of the symbolism and filming techniques used. Good to watch for anyone interested in the novel-vs-film perspective.

Stan Lee's Mutants, Monsters, and Marvels (2002) 95 min + FTV = 120

Day 25:
That Guy Dick Miller (2014) 91 min + FTV = 116

Day 26:

Marvel 616, ep4: Lost and Found (2020) 52 min + FTV = 77
Marvel 616, ep5: Suit Up! (2020) 47 min + FTV = 71

Total: 2178

The results...

I won, with ballz at a close second. Everyone else who participated gave an adequate effort. Must not have had enough time to get too much watched.

2178 @Box_a_Hair
1708 @Ballz
619 @markus-san

468 @Tromafreak

I left notes on certain titles, but I had a generally positive experience with this. I did run into some shit I couldn't last more than 20 minutes into that I wont count. Some of Marvel's docs are unbearable. They're far too overbearing in how much they want to emphasize their diversity, it's disgusting. But the horror stuff was all fun, save for that super racist Horror Noire shit. With all that whining out of the way, the short duration of this challenge made for a nice way to kill time between the big-deal challenges. I'd be open to doing this one again, and not necessarily in another year. Perhaps once every few months.

I've also dispersed more of that useless trash credit as a reward...
