Steam: a speck of dust https://steamcommunity.com/id/darkredspyder/

These days I rarely play anything other than Left 4 Dead 2 and that's usually only when Box is in the mood for it. There are other games I'm interested in playing, but it's hard to find the time for them. When I do play other games, they tend to be first-person shooters, simulators, and point-and-click adventures. '90s games and throwbacks to '90s games are the best.

Every year I find myself just wanting to play old games. I played spore for a bit last year. Busted out Need for Speed recently along with Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (The XBox Original D&D based one). I still play Red Alert 2 and Age of Empires a lot. I just can't seem to find many good new PC games.

I used to play a lot of Total War games, but I bought the new one and was so bored! I just ended up whipping out Rome Total War from the early 2000s.

That being said I do like some of the new XBox One open world shooters. But I miss the Days of Halo 2 when multiplayer was a big focus. Everything is so lonely now.

I used to love Age of Empires (and the spin-off, Age of Mythology). Never played any of the other games you mentioned, but I've heard of them. Hopefully I can finally play the Halo games soon. The Master Chief Collection is supposed to be coming to Steam.

Despite how often I play L4D2, I'm not a big fan of multiplayer. I guess I make an exception for L4D because it's co-op and you guys make it fun to play with, even when we end up repeating levels. But the more a game focuses on single player, the more I'm probably going to like it.

I think part of why I prefer older games is because newer games, even when they have a single player mode, include a lot of grinding. Even the Mortal Kombat games have gone that route now. Mortal Kombat 11 just makes me want to go play one of the older MK games.

Metal Gear Solid 5 Phantom Pain is a great single player game. But it even has a grind to it. Weapon developements can take half a day play time to complete. It's just too much sometimes.

I only play L4D2 with the aforementioned people. My name is "Ah Force". I'm not much of a gamer, obviously. Don't have the time for it.
