So lately I have been thinking about books that were made into movies or tv shows. And there are a few that I wish were never made, or should have been a tv show, or a tv show that maybe should have been a movie. I hate the Eragon movie, they completely messed it up. It was such a good book, and they could have done so much better. Another series that I think would have been way better as a tv show is Vampire Academy. The books are dark, and the movie was made into a comedy, and they completely missed the entire feel of the book.
Are there any books you wished were never adapted, or any that you wish was a tv show or vice versa? And I guess on the opposite side of thing are there any movies that fit perfectly with the book? I would love to hear yโalls thoughts!

As for books that worked well as a movie, Fight Club and Shawshank Redemption are the two that come to mind for me. All of the performances in those movies are top notch. I think how well a book adapts to film depends heavily on the acting performance. We essentially already know the story from reading the book, but itโs up to the actor to make someone believe they are indeed THAT character. A common theme with these bad adaptations is shit acting.
