Any fans? What a strange movie. I think I liked it more this time around than my initial watch which was over 10 years ago. It's definitely a slow-burn with little payoff, unfortunately, but it does have a fairly charming quality to it.
Firstly, Roman Polanski's acting is something else. He's on par with Tommy Wiseau at times. Despite little of note happening, his acting "skills" and his heavy accent make it oddly watchable. Not as good as Rosemary's Baby, of course, but a neat end to Polanski's so-called "Apartment Trilogy" (with Repulsion being the first.)
