It seems to be incomprehensible to some people that men can actually be the victims of domestic violence. I read an article, which genuinely annoyed me, claiming that the trial was "misogynistic" and that the trial was "unfair":

"It will have a devastating effect on survivors, who will be silenced, now, with the knowledge that they cannot speak about their violent experiences at men’s hands without the threat of a ruinous libel suit. In that sense, women’s speech just became a lot less free."

They can't seem to accept that all of this was brought about by Heard, not Depp, through her bullshit. That it was only Depp fans that were against Heard when actually, the majority of people whether they liked Depp or not, could clearly see the woman was lying. This included DV survivors themselves who could see through her lies through their own experiences. Of course there will be a few morons, like the author who wrote this article, who simply cannot accept the truth and think they know better than a jury who has studied evidence for 6 weeks but as you say, fortunately common sense prevailed.
