He did a bunch of good sleaze in the 70s and 80s, like the surprisingly decent killer baby trilogy It's Alive, the Maniac Cop trilogy (writer), and The Stuff. Are you eating it, or is it eating you?
I want to see more of his movies. He had a bunch, and they had good casts of b-movie regulars like Michael Moriarty and Fred Williamson. He did a few good collaborations with William Lustig, too.

RIP. Definitely a huge bummer. I have watched The Stuff in the last couple of years or so, it is absolutely time to watch it again. Maybe some Maniac Cop too. I bet Bruce Campbell will have a few things to say on social media.
