A few years ago I spent $100 on Last House on Dead End Street (1977). Big regrets on that purchase, I thought the movie sucked.

If something is out of print and there's no other way to see it, I do sometimes spend a lot. But I can't believe some of the prices for new blu-rays now. Like those ones from Scream Factory. I mean they're great sets and everything, but a lot of them are over $30, and they're not hard movies to find for cheap. I can't justify paying that much for an upgrade.

It seems all of its notoriety comes from the mystery that used to surround it. For a long time nobody had any idea who made it, and I guess some though it might have been an actual snuff film. Of course the truth has since come out that it is nothing more than an extremely amateurish exploitation film.

Yeah, I would call you crazy for spending that much just for the cover art. Why exactly have you not watched it?

I thought that cover looked familiar. Messiah recently added it to Trash Epics Theater. I'll probably watch it within the next couple days.
