Sep 2017
Finished watching the new IT. Not a bad movie they done a good job with it. A whole cast of child actors and they were all really good.

I fucking loved it. It's been my most anticipated movie for the past year and a half or so. I've waited like a good, patient little boy all this time and wouldn't you know, that fat cunt bitch Hurricane Irma has to strike right when IT is due to premiere. Had my tickets for Friday night and everything. So, there that went as all movie theaters began closing Thursday night.

Following the hurricane Monday all the theaters were still closed. K, that's understandable considering what went on. Man Irma, you needa get laid.

So Tuesday I find out a theater nearby is opening at 5pm. We get solid seats for a 10:25pm showing. Yes, I'm finally in. The anticipation is so high is hurts. Aaaaaaaand....guess what? The A/C in that particular auditorium is out and it's literally fucking boiling in there. Like, over 100 degrees you can't breathe boiling. I'm no bitch but damn, it was downright intolerable. We exchange our tickets for a Wednesday showing at 8:25pm. I wait yet another day. Argh.

We arrive at the theater about 7:30 to get there early and get our snacks. And I swear to God, the moment we walk up, the goddamn power in the building just straight up goes out. I'm literally in disbelief. We wait in the long ass line just to get in the facility hoping that the power will be restored momentarily. A girl comes out and announces they're evacuating the building. I felt like murderin' somebody at this point. I mean, what were the odds? Has someone put a curse on me?

Luckily, we found another theater just around the corner with a showtime at 8pm. We quickly bought the tickets online and we were in. We couldn't sit together but at least I was finally seeing IT. And it didn't disappoint. It was everything I'd hoped it would be and more. The entire film I was transfixed and beaming with glee.

Aside from a few unfortunate CG fx sequences, the film far, far exceeded my expectations. Probably gonna see it again this weekend. Don't think I've seen a film in theaters twice since Grindhouse.
