I recall a particularly fine croc in this one, some lively performances, quality send off for the Quint character and fun climax. But also that it was otherwise a fairly uninspired Jaws rip off. Rated it 6/10, not seen it for ages though. I too much prefer big animatronic creations. Even when they're a bit hokey, their sheer presence and bulk and muck and sweat gives me a thrill that shiny, weightless, CGI things never can.
