My favorite character was Black Philip.

How would you interpret the movie?

As literal events happening.

I've heard one interpretation sum it up as a hallucination after the family eats fungus infected crops.

Another is that the whole thing is a feminist reaction about breaking free from a puritan family.

I thought the movie was an artsy bore. I think a 1600s witch movie has the potential to be great, but I zoned out something HARD with this one. Black Philip is legend on account of his name alone.

I don't think it felt too artsy.

I'll leave that to Mulholland Drive.

My interpretation: a witch set its sights on that family. The witch won. The end.

Great movie, by the way. Creepy and engaging.

Alien abduction film. Everything that happens in it has been reported happening around UFOs and alien encounters. Then the bitch floats up to the sky at the end. Prove me wrong.
