Not a very good movie. But if you want to check out werewolf movies then the Howling sequels are kind of at least a complete viewing sequence.

Probably not the most fun Reb Brown movie as that would probably be Yor, Hunter From The Future.

Anyway the real star is Christopher Lee.

I'm not a fan of this series at all. I thought the third one was pretty good, but I found the rest of them hard to sit through.

I should have watched this for the trash challenge! Most Howling sequels I've seen kinda suck, and I heard it's worse than part 3. Only Tromafreak would like that one. ...

I like part 4, where the dude melts.

I saw it on USA Saturday Nightmares when I was a kid, which automatically makes it not suck by default.

The Howling movies might be the worst horror movie franchise that was so long running. Say five or more entries.

The first one was pretty good, but the rest had little to no redeaming qualities. Children of the Corn might be competition for it.

Howling III:The Marsupials is the best sequel imo.

Amityville is the worst long running franchise to me. Children and Hellraiser might be worse, but I haven't watched past the first 2 Hellraisers and I can never remember much about the Corn franchise.

The short story was creepy. The movie was a huge dissapointment and I just have never like Peter Horton.
The 2009 remake, while not a good movie, its ok and that makes it better than the original. I liked the couple, played by Kandyce McClure and David Anders, so much better than Horton & Hamilton. The little shit that plays Issac though is just too young and squeaky voiced to be taken seriously.

But it wasn't boring like the original, and Anders having war flashbacks was a good touch.

True. Even the original Children of the Corn wasn't that good. Usually a long running franchise has at least a quality movie starting it off.

This movie is soo fucking bad. I still think movies like this should be posted here, just to bitch in agreement.

The first Howling is great. I put it up there with AWiL and Dog Soldiers but H2 is like breaking up with a hot girl friend bc of drama and then going out with an ugly blow up doll.

I reckon Strike Commando is Reb Brown's most fun movie. I like Howling 2 in a deeply silly kind of way though. A shame after the excellent original (which I rate higher than An American Werewolf in London) but it does the trick with a few drinks. Third one has its charms as well, and whichever number The Freaks is. Not seen the others, though I think I read that the fourth is an ok serious return and the last one is good if you like line dancing.

I love the Howling II. Sybil Danning's boobs and Christopher Lee walking around wearing sunglasses everywhere. How could it be bad?

I'm with Jimb on this one - boobs, sunglasses and it's just a hoot. Howling III is even better, but of all the Howlings part 2 may be the most fun to watch (even over the original). There are definitely worse series than this one.

bay Sybil Danning is the real star of this.
Also Howling: New Moon Rising is by far and away the most entertaing film in the series, in fact it makes my top 100 must watch films of all time.
