Just getting into the Necrostorm films. I started with Judy and Taeter City because they were free on Amazon Prime. I have yet to see the others, including Adam Chaplin. Taeter City was pretty interesting, but Judy was really cool.

JUDY (2014) - A team of street performers terrorize a young woman in her house. This low-budget home invasion film is really creepy. The street performers have terrifying facial make-up and masks, and a bizarre โ€œtrickโ€ involving a spiked crate with nails sticking out of it. Most surprisingly, thereโ€™s a fantastic amount of suspense after our protagonist has a confrontation with those nasty looking villains near the very beginning. So much so, that the viewer may question the entire premise of the film, which is impressive. This is a โ€œNecrostormโ€ film, but thereโ€™s an astounding amount of patience that is exhibited by the filmmakers to avoid graphic violence for a while (after the opening scene, of course). Our protagonist does make a few bone-headed moves when danger is presented, but I can forgive that because this movie balances suspense, disturbing violence, and demented villains very nicely. The English dub was viewed.

Any thoughts on this one, or the other Necrostorm films?

Iโ€™ve been wanting to see that one since it came out but could never find it. Thanks to your thread Iโ€™m gonna take another look.

I really like Adam Chaplin, Taeter City and Hotel Inferno. It blows my mind how great the CG gore looks! It looks a thousand times better than the CG gore in high budget movies! I really wonder how they do it.

I've never seen Judy, but from Necrostorm, I've see Taeter City and Hotel Inferno. I didn't think much of Taeter City, in fact I barely remember it even though it was only like a month ago. Hotel Inferno though, I liked. It was like a low budget Hardcore Henry, like watching someone play a first person shooter. At first I thought it was pretty cheesy, and it is I guess, but it got super entertaining and gory near the end.

You gotta admit the voice of the main character in Hotel Inferno was annoying as fuck. It affected my enjoyment of the movie quite a bit.

I just finished watching Judy. I liked it. Not much to the plot, but it held my attention. Had I not read your review beforehand, I definitely would've expected more violence. When it does kick in however, it doesn't disappoint.

The only other Necrostorm film I've seen is Hotel Inferno. I liked it as well, but a little less than Judy. I want to see Adam Chaplin and I'll check out Taeter City soon since it's on Prime.
