Have you ever heard of Erik Satie, Foz? The name mightn't ring a bell, but you might of heard his piece - "Gymnopedie" (this is where my username came from, lol) somewhere in passing. Probably one of the most tranquil pieces of music I have ever heard:
Yeah, it was on numerous movies and television shows, Foz. I enjoy nothing better then listening to this after a tough day. It would put you into relaxing mood.
They had so many great tunes imo, like "Whiskey in the Jar", "The Boys Are Back in Town", "Jailbreak", "Don't Believe a Word", "Waiting for an Alibi", "Dancing in the Moonlight", "Sarah" etc
It is such a shame that Phil Lynott passed away at only 36. He was a heavy drinker, and a drug addict, but he was a great performer. There is a statue of him in Dublin where he was born. He wrote this - Phil Lynott - Old Town:
