I was rewatching Return of the Living Dead, (which has got to be one of the best if not the best zombie movie of all time) and got to thinking what are the worst ways to die? We all remember Trash and her opinion on the matter.

I think one of the worst ways to die would be the case of a man by the name of Hiroshi Ouchi. The irony of his last name is too perfect. Hiroshi was 35 years old when on September 30, 1999 he was splashed with an extremely lethal dose of radioactive material at his work. They kept him alive and in agony for 83 days to study him. There are many images of this poor man online, and his story is a terrifying one.

So what about you? What do you think are the worst ways to die?

I hear bone and brain cancer is pretty rough. Probably not quite as painful as burning to death, but would be a more drawn out ordeal.

Cancer is terrifying. Horrible disease. Burning to death fucking nightmare as well.

I can see being buried alive being pretty bad, too. Painful to suffocate, but there's just something really morbid about it. Especially if it's in a casket. Only corpses belong in caskets. It would suck for your last few moments of life to be lived as a corpse in darkness. Little by little, the air disappears, and slowly, you become one for realz.

Burning has to be the worst. Drowning is a close second, but of course, I think any way to die probably hurts like hell. It's especially bad when you have cancer or the likes of it, and you're rotting away. I think being ripped apart by zombies would be a rather quick death, and a lot of slasher kills like stabbings and beheadings have to be rather painless (after the initial, albeit short-lived pain of impact). Quick is better. Slow deaths are inherently more painful.

That Hiroshi guy.... If you read about it that is beyond cruel they kept him alive. I can't imagine the pain from that or from burning to death.
