I love Watership Down... one of my favorites as a kid, even though it was intense.

I don't know about a remake. I need to rewatch this movie. It's been years since I've seen it. I actually had a friend in school that owned it on a laserr disc. It was huge. I haven't seen one since.

I have a 4 year old and I considered showing it to him recently.. but unfortunately it did not hold his attention, even though he keeps asking me for "something scary".. And Jurrasic Park, Ghostbusters and Gremlins were not scary enough, so I have no idea!! Maybe it is a bit too soon for Alien..

My daughter started asking for something scary to watch around the age of 6. I showed her the original Evil Dead. She loved it. I also showed her the making of some of thte effects. just to show her none of it was real. Have you tried The Dark Crystal?
