RLS

Sep 2021 *
So, I have RLS (restless leg syndrome) and I've had it for years. I'm currently out of my medicine for it, and that means no sleep. I hate having it! It's so annoying and painful.

I think the longest I went without sleep was 7 or 8 days while waiting on my medicine to be filled. Those were some crazy nights! Tromafreak told me I was talking about naked guinea pigsemoticon.

No real reason for this post aside from not being able to sleep. Do any of you have RLS? What's the longest you went without sleep?

Leg, as in singular, or does it affect both legs? How does that work? Is it sort of like a Parkinson's thing?

I'll never forget my bout with insomnia back in 2015. I got crazy sick and although I was terribly weak, my body refused to sleep for about two weeks. I got so frustrated that I ate about half a bottle of melatonin and it didn't do shit. Then one day, I finally started going back to normal. I think it was a combination of a physical illness and some severe mental stress at the time.

It is a neurological issue, but doctors aren't really sure what causes it. It makes a persons legs and sometimes their arms have annoying feelings in them and you have to move around.

With me it always feels like the start of leg cramps, so I have to move my legs around to get it to stop. The big problem is once I've moved, and get comfortable it starts the process all over again. So, someone with it has a hard time getting sleep at night or even a nap during the day. If I'm sitting up it's fine, but the moment I lay down it starts.
