A couple of days ago, I noticed Netflix added Hellraiser: Judgment (2018). I've always enjoyed the Hellraiser movies, but mainly due to Doug Bradley's performance as Pinhead. Sadly, this was another entry in the franchise without him, but this new actor was ok. Pinhead was now played by Paul T. Taylor, and as I said, he was ok, but one thing about him really bothered me, his voice. I know they deepened Doug Bradley's voice a bit, but this was overkill. He almost sounded like Darth Vader to me.

I did like the story overall, and the inclusion of Heaven into the mythology was pretty cool. I have to give this movie credit, it made me gag half a dozen or more times. I'd probably give it a 5/10.

I haven't seen Judgement but that's why I hated Revelations. Doug Bradley is PINHEAD...no substitutes allowed!

I agree 100%. This actor was at least tolerable, but no one will ever replace Doug Bradley's performance.

completely agree. i had a moan about the whole Bradley thing in my post here about hellraiser judgement! i think the reason the deepened PTT voice so much was the dude from Revelations voice was way off, so they went too far in rectifying. or they love Nolan's batman movies who kows...

glad you enjoyed some parts, i thought the judgement house part at the beginning was quite effective for how low budget it was.

Has there now been 2 Hellraiser's without Doug Bradley? I thought this was the first one. I remember seeing a picture of the new Pinhead and thinking how stupid he looked, but this wasn't him. I actually can't tell a difference between Bradley and this guy in Judgement. Yeah, I watched it earlier. Not too bad. This series really doesn't do much for me, aside from the second one. Really nice, gory death there at the end, though.

I honestly didn't think the new guy was too bad. As much as I love Doug Bradley in the role, it's still a makeup-heavy role, and it's not entirely irreplaceable. Still, I think it's a very douchy move to blow him off and write him out of a series that he was a big part of. Hell, they wrote those movies and he was the glue that kept them all so consistent. Now, it just seems like DTV shit that tries to rely on certain themes in order to exist, but it's definitely a shadow of what it used to be. I have NO faith in this series being good again, because they treat it like shit. The filmmakers involved have NO respect for it, and it's essentially a cash-grab, each and every time.

Clive Barker had a hand in a great few movies, but after Dimension Films decided to take a huge dump on this series and push it into DTV territory... fuck 'em. They've been in a shitty position ever since the Weinstein scandal. They can't put forth a decent effort into neither THIS franchise, nor the Children of the Corn franchise.

Damn them all to hell!
