I thought it might be fun to have a thread about things we hate. Maybe even a place to rant and let off some steam. It can be about anything from movies to just everyday life. You don't have to post your hates/rants here, but they are more than welcome. My intention of making this is not to offend anyone but to create interesting conversations. You can post about ANYTHING you wish. Happy Hating!

Oh man... this should be easy...

I hate myself, and I hate my life. I hate this one intern who caused me to lose a potential large amount of money. I also hate working. Goddamn podium shifts make me want to kill myself.

I hate hypes and Harry Potter. Well I actually don't care bout HP but I just wanted to make some kind of alliteration.

Hate silly fashion trends that just look ridiculous like as if the person lacks an own identity: rapper, gangsta, emo just to belong to some kind of group. Well for most it's fortunately limted to puberty. I like some rock, hard rock and techno but was never like oh now I must start wearing black t-shirts and clothing to 'prove' that. besides in summer I would sweat like a pig in that.

I hate sports. I mean sports themselves are fine. There's nothing wrong with playing a game with some friends. But I think caring about the outcome of a game, when you've never even met any of the players, is ridiculous. I've actually seen grown men cry over this shit. I hate how when a game runs long, it will always take precendent over anything else that may be coming on TV afterwards. I hate how people will just launch into a conversation about sports without even asking me first if it's something I give a shit about. They just assume I care. And when they find out I don't, it boggles their mind. "You don't like sports? Even football? Okay, so you don't like football, but you gotta root for UT, right?" What are they not getting? I couldn't not possibly give less of a shit about your stupid games!

Yeah I get what you mean, football (well soccer for you American) is here the most popular. The higher league a club is in the more support and there is about 3 clubs drawing support from all over the country. Once playing for the big boys there aren't that many players who actually play for the city club they grew up. So basically most of the supporters especially from the highest leagues are mainly supporting the clubs with players who do not play for a club because they love the city but because of the status and of course the big bucks.
It's the same with international games, why would I support a Belgian when I think he/she is a dick/cunt.

That's actually why I would never want to support Ferrari in formula 1. Their founder was a pretty terrible human being and because they have been in the sport the longest they still think they are bigger than the sport themselves. Still because of history and they are the most recognizable brand in and outside motorsport they draw the most support worldwide even though like less than 1% of their supporters could afford their road cars. Besides without Fiat's support they would have gone bankrupt and they still get more money than the other teams for their 'historical importance'.

Oh yeah and people crying because their club lost. Or supporters from rivaling clubs fighting each other as they can't stomach a defeat, vandalism... Endlessly debating about what the coach should have done to get the win, the great action of player X etc. Can't they really do something more productive with their lives?

Yeah, rooting for a certain team doesn't make sense. Most people are fans of the team closest to their hometown, but none of the players are actually from there. Players are bought and sold all the time. One year people will be a huge fan of a player, and then the next year they'll hate him because he's on a different team. And even if everybody on a team was from that town, why does being from the same place as you make them better?

Even within the same country or state/county or even when there is a city/town with more than 1 club there can be a big form of nationalism. On international level people tend to root for compatriots however on soccer club level in Europe have a lot of foreign players. And when their country is playing the hate for a certain player because he moved to a rival club disappears again.
In motorsport I support certain drivers not based on nationality nor because they were most successful.

People that like to give their opinion to me regarding my daughter when we're somewhere in public. Nothing makes my blood boil more. Nothing. Like, mind your own fucking business. I could see if whatever it is might be a big deal, or something is happening that I'm not aware of that could harm her, but so far, it's been over the most inconsequential bullshit things.

We're at Taco Bell leaving and I'm holding my daughter's hand walking thru the parking lot back to the car and this lady says something in Spanish to me. I ask my girlfriend what she said and my gf didn't wanna tell me till we got to the car (cuz she knew I'd flip.) The lady basically said she shouldn't be acting that way in a parking lot. And what terrible thing was she doing? Just kinda jumping around and being silly, as kids do. I had her hand. It isn't like she was crawling on the ground or something.

Had a few other scenarios like that happen before. Like once at the mall, when my daughter was like one and a half, she wanted out of her stroller and then took her shoes off. I didn't agree with that and tried to put them back on but it wasn't the end of the world. Before I could really do anything, this woman is like "oh my God, no shoes." Yeah, because in the mall she's gotta watch out for the hot coals and broken pieces of glass on the floor, you stupid fucking cunt. Who cares if her feet get dirty? She's a kid. It's good for them.

I hate seafood. People say they like it, but I don't believe them. How could anybody like something that tastes like rancid garbage water?

Not a fan of seafood in general but calamari tastes good. Shrimp tempura tastes good. Not like rancid garbage water, as far as I remember. Well, I guess it may depend on which body of "water" the seafood has been taken from..

Out of the literally hundreds of times in my life that I have ate at a chinese buffet, last tuesday I tried fried squid for the first time. Very tasty! I dipped it in chili sauce and that stuff they give you to dip dumplings in.

I was surprised I liked it. It was a little chewy, but I have eaten chicken gizzards that were much, much chewier.

I also ate every damn frog leg in the place and some steamed mussels too.

i used to hate a lot of things but these days im just too weary to be bothered investing in hatred. so i just 'like' everything, much easier for those of a lazy persuasion.

having said that this week a guy at work commented on the brand of dogfood i'd bought (he saw it in my bag) saying it wasnt fit for rats. i dont know this dude, and he dont know me or how healthy my dogs been for years. fuck unsolicited advice from strangers.
