Now that everyone's had a few days to add up any final points, here are the results for the Crime Challenge https://trashepics.com/post/8/38/.

foz: 4711
Ballz: 4209
Box_a_Hair: 3789
BarkingBaphomet: 2202
Messiah_Of_Doom: 1326
iceflamez: 1292
Gymnopedie: 1256
ZombieCPA: 1101
Amon_101: 831
markus-san: 607
rogerthemoviemaniac8: 0
OnyxHades: 0

That makes @foz the winner. I tried to keep up, but he eventually managed to slip away from me. Congratulations.

Any favorite or least favorite FTVs?

My favorite FTVs were Casino (1995), along with Death Wish 4 and 5. I thought the Death Wish movies would get worse as they went, but they never really did. Had there been a part 6, I would've gladly watched that too.

The FTV I regret watching most was Guilty as Sin (1993). Took me two tries to even finish it. For a movie whose poster quotes a review calling it "an erotic thriller", it wasn't very erotic or thrilling.

Thanks to everyone who participated in this challenge. It's probably not a challenge worth having annually, but maybe we can try it again in a couple years.

Best FTV was Memories of Murder, been meaning to get around to it for ages and was not dissapointed.

Child 44 i heard was muddled and poor, but with low expectations and getting over accents i enjoyed enough. I Dont Feel at Home in this World Anymore. is also really good, glad to see Macon carrying the MadLab torch with Saulnier. I liked the new Hellraiser film too, but that's more personal preference than quality filmmaking. Girly & Roadgames are two more decent FTVs. rewatched some favourites too.

TV wise loved Punisher and saw a few of Louis Theroux's docs.

all in all great challenge, thanks for hosting!

The Punisher was cool as fuck, wasn't it? The netflix Marvel stuff was beginning to feel a bit stale to me, but this was a big step up. Jon Bernthal won us all over, I think. I really just love how brutal those last two episodes are. I watched those a few times. Hoping season 2 will be good.

Still need to check out Roadgames sometime...

I wanted my experience to be more varied, but I fell into a complete and utter binge of Trailer Park Boys. The new season is coming out, so it's a great time to catch up. Usually, I'm high and drunk as fuck when I watch those, so it was still kinda like an FTV for season 11.

Surprised you never saw Casino before, aka Goodfellas 2. It's Scorsese, and right on par with his best works. Death Wish as a series is great. Not a one in the bunch I don't like. I might check out Bruce Willis' attempt at the role of Paul Kersey tomorrow. Heard okay things about it.

Didn't watch too many FTVs this time. Just "A Bronx Tale" (okay), "The Guard" (okay), and "The Transporter" (meh).

Not sure why more users weren't into this, because crime is one of the best genres out there. Right up there with horror and exploitation. There's just so much damn material for this challenge, it could still be an annual thing, and I'm hoping that more people will come around to it.

Thanks for hosting. I found this more enjoyable than I first assumed. Didn't get too mcny FTVs in but I thought The Victim (2011) was pretty good. Written and directed by and starring Michael Biehn.

I took it easy last month.

Repeat Performance (1947) was the best of what I watched last month. A woman kills her husband on New Year's Eve 12/31/1946. She has a wish that relive 1946 that comes true knowing how her life when to crap the first time.
