Sad.

Let's not forget, he played Jim Jones.

@ballz told me last night. Sad news that two of the main stars from "Frailty" have passed within months of each other. Coincidentally, they were both on Marvel's "Agents of Shield" too.

Faves were "Southern Comfort", "Sin City", and "Red Dawn". Obvious choices, I guess.

On Frailty: emoticon maybe coincidence, maybe not. It's all part of the cosmic debris I guess.

My fav films of Boothe's are Southern Comfort and the Emerald Forest. And probably Frailty too. emoticon

That was a weird name, and I'm not even sure who that is, but R.I.P nonetheless.

Another sad passing and one i did not expect. He was always great - especially in Walter Hill films and The Emerald Forest. It was a real treat when he turned up on Deadwood making an already amazing cast even more amazing.

R.I.P.

There are a few mentions of The Emerald Forest, so I'll have to check it out. I ought to finish Deadwood sometime too. I need to get back on that.

Emerald Forest is not really like the other Boothe films I've seen. It's a very good film though; the music and scenery are outstanding and it's based on a true story. Recommended.

Emerald Forest is very much a John Boorman film. It's a terrific story, based on a true one, and Boothe is very good in it. A bit more vulnerable than usual perhaps. Plus, there's great scenery.
