I haven't used mine in years, because I don't have an audience there, nor do I need to concern myself with any of that bullshit. Since I'm not a celebrity, nor am I a hot chick, nobody cares what I have to say.
I'd be too tempted to post stupid shit, to be honest.
Lol. Yeah I tend to agree... wasn't sure if the non-celebrity types even stood a chance. At least you have this site you can plug. I have nothing to say that the world would care about
Yeah actually, herehttps://twitter.com/johnnayderp . I mostly use it to talk about what I'm watching or what's irritating me. Sometimes those two things together. I have pretty much no audience and most of my interactions come from replying to other peoples' stuff. I also use it to receive horror news. I have a private list set up to display only the accounts I feel are most beneficial in that area.
I get you... Twitter to me seems ike a giant soap box in many ways and that's a community I don't plan on joining.
I will admit I entertained the idea for a few days, mainly because of my artwork (and other work), but I'm neither ready to showcase that nor do I think Twitter is the best platform.
A giant soapbox is a perfect description and I can understand the desire to avoid that entirely. If there wasn't a horror community there, I doubt I'd still have an account.
I don't think it'd be your best choice either. I follow a few artists, but all of them seem to focus more on Facebook or Instagram. Facebook's as much as of a dumpster fire as Twitter and I know little about Instagram. It's probably not much better. You could always test out your artwork here whenever you feel up to it. I might do so with my own stuff at some point.
An outlet for heated and controversial discussions.
WARNING: Discussions on this board may easily get out of hand and TEDb recommends people with a sensitive nature and/or people under 18 years of age should avoid The Soapbox.
