One "strange" thing I've always been picky about has been the end-credit song.

I'm the type of guy that remains sitting in the theater till the movie's completely over. True story.
I don't think they're terrible films, but I didn't like "Blue moon" at the end of American Werewolf In London, nor did I like "Smoke gets in your eyes" at the end of Kill Me Again.

I thought The Hitcher remake was fairly well-executed throughout, and while I thought it could've benefited from better casting, my biggest problem with it was actually the annoying/pretentious/excessively noisy end-credit song. Share your strangest pet-peeve.

I can dig it. The end credits is an important thing! (Kinda?)

I love Pet Sematary. The ending is just so goddamn creepy, it fills you with a sense of dread... then the second it ends, there's an upbeat Ramones song. It's kind of like a slap in the face. A real mood-killer.

Also watched The Punisher '04 extended cut the other day. He stands there on the bridge giving his epilogue, fade to black... credits begin and the main theme plays. Okay, great. In the theatrical cut, however, this calm scene fades to black and plays... some dumb, loud screamo metal song? Lame.

I feel that more people should try to make interesting end credits. Give it a post-credits scene, bloopers, or overlay it on regular footage until the movie just sort of ends, like George Romero's 'Martin'. (Amazing movie, by the way)

Or, play the end credits backwards, to a really snazzy song, like in The Rules of Attraction.

Oh yeah I hate when horror movies end with terrible metal songs. I love metal, but the metal songs at the end of horror movies are usually total shit. You know you watched a bad horror movie when it ends with a shitty alternative metal song.

I agree with you on this Nicko. Bad metal is really accessible for people who don't understand metal. "Do you like (insert bad nu metal band)"? Is a frustrating moment when someone thinks you like shitty metal and they don't understand the difference. It is on par with asking someone who listens to Gansta rap if they like MC Hammer.

Perfect example of bad metal at ending credits is the Dawn of the Dead remake.
