Check this out, if you have a few minutes. I just mentioned this on markus-san's thread about his son. This is a collection of scenes from The Astounding She-Monster (1958). She just walked slowly toward you, and if she touched you then you would immediately die. Doesn't it sound like It Follows, when I describe it that way? It was a very different movie from It Follows: she was supposed to be an alien, it had a very un-It Follows twist at the end, and most of her victims were a bunch of gangsters, soooo they were quite different from random horny teenagers. But, just the general feel of how she came at you, and what would happen if she touched you, was the same as It Follows.
