You know what I mean. What horror movies come to mind for you, as being suitable to be adapted into Dungeons and Dragons-type RPG games?

I had this idea because I was thinking about Silent Hill. I realize, that movie got started as a video game. So I was thinking it over, and I thought "you know, that would also work pretty well as a D+D-ish game," because it is basically a fairly contained quest, in a particular setting, where you have to face lots of different kinds of monsters. If you google around a little, you can see that other people have had this idea too. It would be possible to work out melee rules, hit points for different characters, etc etc etc.

Do any other horror movies come to mind for anyone, as being suitable for this type of adaptation?

Army of Darkness! An epic swords and sorcery quest to find an ugly book.

Maybe something like Waxwork, too.

Krull would be pretty good too. Supposedly, that is how Krull was conceived, as a Dungeons and Dragons movie. It basically stayed that way, I don't know what they would have changed to make it less Dungeons and Dragons-ish.

I think the variety of monsters and evil creatures in Silent Hill would work well in a D+D type of game. There are at least five different types of creatures, probably more. It's good to have different types of things to fight, so you're always checking your rulebook, using different kinds of dice, etc.

Hmmm, mabe Nightbreed could work. You'd have to flip it around somehow though. It has lots of different kinds of monsters in Midian, but most of them are supposed to be the good guys. Some of them have a bit of an edge, of course. Maybe you could play the part of certain monsters, and try to kill as many evil cops as possible?!? That'd work.
