I don't think Rollin ever reached the dreamlike perfection of José Ramón Larraz's Vampyres, but very, very close. Those are some truly beautiful films. Some of the only movies that are strictly subtitled that I will give a chance.

I'd also put The Living Dead Girl, The Iron Rose and The Grapes Of Death on that list. I have a hard time picking between Fascination and Requiem for #1 favorite. I suddenly have the urge to revisit some of these...

I am not sure whether to "save" them for October, or to watch them now. They would be perfect for October....ah, hell, I will watch them this weekend..

I am very impressed by what I have seen so far. The Iron Rose is so atmospheric that you could almost drown in its atmosphere, and The Grapes of Death is such a beautiful horror movie to look at.

If these are anything to go by, then I am in for a treat. My only misgivings is that his movies are very sex driven. I mean, I like nudity just like the next guy, but not when it is overloading the storyline. The Iron Rose and The Grapes of Death didn't rely solely on that.

I've never seen any of these movies, so I'll try to watch at least a few of them for the challenge. I've heard of some of them over the years, but they just never crossed my path.

I'd definitely save at least one or two for October. They're so perfect for that time of year, unless you live in Florida and it's still very much Summer. But there's also The Shiver Of The Vampires and Rape Of The Vampire. The Nude Vampire is the only one I didn't care for.

Yeah, now that you say it - I might actually do that.

Have you seen Lost in New York (1989) ? It seems a very artsy film - even for Rollin.

I haven't. Haven't seen much past Living Dead Girl. Only Two Orphan Vampires, I think. I really need to complete my Rollin jounrney.

I should watch more of this Jean Rolling Stone guy.

Wait. I hated A Virgin Among the Living Dead and I was a bit less enthused by The Grapes of Death than most folks, but it was all right I suppose.

I think Grapes of Death is the only Rollin film I have seen. I wasn't too impressed by it either. I mean the nudity was nice even though it was tame I heard compared to most of his other flicks. But the whole story and events seemed rather random.

Now that I have seen Fascination which I liked quite a bit I have become curious about other Rollin movies. Grapes of Death I have seen too some years ago but that was not a success.
Which ones have you seen meanwhile and would you recommend rather not too dreamlike or Grapes of Death style (felt rather random)?

Night of the Hunted has top quality tittays. Can't say much of the movie.

Last time I checked A Virgin Among the Living Dead was a Jess Franco joint. Long standing rumour of some footage from some alternate version of it coming from Rollin but the integral film is Franco through and through. And a different kind of thing to Rollin really (I do prefer Rollin) but pretty sweet in its own art brut kinda way.
