So excluding stuff like The Shawshank Redemption (1994), The Green Mile (1999) and
Stand by Me (1986). Just strictly horror. I found it difficult to restrict it to just five but here is what makes my top five:

Storm of the Century (1999 Mini-Series)
Pet Sematary (1989)
The Dark Half (1993)
The Shining (1980)
It (1990 Mini-Series)

There were a lot that missed the cut for me, especially The Dead Zone (1983) but it can't be helped. What sbout you? What are your Top 5 Stephen King horror adaptations?

Running Man is a fun Ahnold movie, but as an adatation it's bad, I'd like to see an adaptation that's actually like the book.

Oh definitely, it's fun fun fun. The colorful villians, and Arnie one liners. And Richard Dawson plays a great villain.

I remember you mentioning that movie before. Still curious about it. Of his Bachman books, The Long Walk I think is my favorite. Such a great read.

Creepshow I think is a better movie, BUT I've watched part 2 more, I find it more rewatchable.

Too bad we got that dismal part III instead of the once planned all animated Ralph Bakshi helmed sequel.

Yes. They aren't even based on King's works. director/producer James Glenn Dudelson somehow has gotten rights to some of Romero's stuff, he's also responsible for Day of the Dead 2: Contagium, and produced the Day Of The Dead remake, and the upcoming Day Of The Dead remake.

Delores Claiborne would be on my list if we were including movies that weren't horror, maybe it's me, but I don't see it as horror.
