Off the top of my head Martin 1978 would be. I can't think of any more, surely there must me some more. What other horror movie loners are there?

Top of my head, I also thought of Martin immediately. But there's another one that's somewhat similar that saw not too long ago called Fade to Black, starring Dennis Christopher as a horror fan who kind of loses his mind. It also features Mickey Rourke and Tim Thomerson.

Oh, wow! It looks really good! Would you say it shares a lot of similarties with Martin?

Not particularly. He has a similar look and vibe about him, and he does dress as a vampire at some point, among other things.

Maniac (1980; probably the remake too, but I don't remember). Joe Spinell isn't a full on loner in it. He even goes on a date. He spends the majority of the movie alone though. When he isn't stalking and murdering women, he's usually in his apartment talking to mannequins.

a couple of real (and real scary) loners, made into horror movies:

Dahmer (2002)
Ed Gein (2000)

Stanley (1972) would fit in this category.

I'd also say Don't Go in the House and The Nostril Picker would fit.
