Anyone got some good sun-drenched horror movie recs? I am looking for beautifully shot horror movies, with a great amount of golden light/sun in them. I love these type of movies. Here is what I have seen and liked that fits this catagory:

Long Weekend (1978)
The Territory (1981)
Who Can Kill a Child? (1976)
The Dead (2010)
The Objective (2008)
Duel (1971 TV Movie)
The Dead 2: India (2013)
The Reflecting Skin (1990)
The Grapes of Death (1978)
Tombs of the Blind Dead (1972)
And Soon the Darkness (1970)
Race with the Devil (1975)
It Stains the Sands Red (2016)

Anyone got some good sun-drenched horror movie recs?

Children of the Corn has a lot of daylight/rural scenes. Most of the series does, but most of the series isn't worth watching.

Jeepers Creepers 2 has some really beautiful sun-drenched scenes, toward the beginning. They are shot out in a cornfield, everything has that golden glow. It's not the whole movie, but several minutes are definitely sun-drenched.

Off the cuff, Sleepaway Camp? I may be wrong here, but I remember a lot of fun in the sun.

Are you looking for all sunsine or could you be into the classic "oh what a beautiful day nothing could go... oh shit a monster.". The latter tend to turn dark.

I'm a huge fan of the eclipse scene in Pitch Black. And, if you want a lot of sunshine... what do they have there, three suns?!?!? Now, that's a lot of sunshine.

The last minute or so of Day of the Dead, when they are on that beach or island or whatever. The whole movie is grey and black and sterile, set underground (except the first few minutes), so you are really ready for some sunshine and color by the end.

And, similarly, the last minute or so of Dark City. (spoilers, sorry)

That whole movie is full of very dark nighttime shots, but right at the end there is a scene on a sun-drenched seashore with a blue sea, and it is just a massive relief to your eyes after staring at blackness for so long.

I wasn't crazy about it, but Downrange (2017) takes place outside under the sun for at least the first half of the movie. Might've been closer to 2/3s of the movie.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned the Tremors movies. Lots of sunny scenes in those.

Reflecting Skin and Duel are the main ones that come to mind for me, and you already listed those. Other than that:

Disappearance
Fleshburn
China Lake Murders
Death Valley
Fox With the Velvet Tail
Eye of the Labyrinth
