I got bored one day and decided to make an Excel spreadsheet tracking all the movies I've seen over the years. 2013 is when I started keeping track, and older ones as I remember.
Right now I'm up to 2760 movies seen.

What I have listed on the spreadsheet are:
Movie title with IMDB link
Year of release
My rating out of 10
IMDB rating at date of listing
Movie run time
MPAA rating
Medium viewed in
First three genres listed on IMDB
Primary genre (in my opinion)
Date first watched
Plot synopsis

Then I also have tabulations at the bottom tracking number each year, decade, medium, MPAA rating primary genre, and personal rating. And also a few time watched computation totals (minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years).
By the by, just over half a year on what I know of.

Anyone else lead this boring a life?

I'm one of those pathetic bastards who still rates things on imdb from time to time, in which my current total is 2,439 titles. I also rate things on here, considering I'm more likely to watch trash than regular movies these days.

I started posting viewings on the Horror board thread around 2015, and eventually the one on here, cuz keeping track somehow keeps me motivated to regularly check out new movies, not unlike a challenge. I still rate movies on IMDb too. Hopefully, they'll never do away with that part of the site, cuz it's nice to have a list of more or less everything.

I use letterboxd to log everything I watch and I rate everything on IMDb as well. I also have been keeping lists of every movie I have seen within in each year from 2009 until now and ranking them that year.

I don't go into that much detail as you Amon. Actually I just use letterboxd to check what I have watched. I don't really rate the flicks on there. It's also useful for checking reviews, often there is much more reviews on there than on imdb even for the more obscure movies. Further it's very easy to make lists on there. I use it to make watchlists for challenges or in general or even a reminder for those I might want to buy and of course for what I own.
