I'd agree with that. Too much of a niche and one which I personally do not fall into. I only came here from IMDb. No wonder most general horror fans are not joining, if that is the case.

I fully agree. What initially stopped me from joining T.E was this reason. It can be a turn-off. Like Markus, it is a niche and one which I do not fall into. I think the site, from an outsider's perspective, is aimed at Chris Seaver, and Lloyd Kaufman type horror fans, and that is too niche!

I personally don't feel: "A community of creeps who love B-movies, retro fashions, and sleazy perversions of a psychotronic nature." is the most welcome of slogans, nor the name - Trashepics, but what do I know.

I agree with most of what you said, but I love the site name. It might turn people away, but if we could get more people to come and look at the site they would see its actually pretty awesome. There are so many features that box has slaved away at adding that are so cool.

Someone write a better description and we'll use it. This could have been brought to my attention when this site launched 5 years ago.

Why don't you write a new description? You know the site better than anyone, and you also have a way with words!

This site is whatever people want it to be. I'll adapt any and every request there is. The problem is that nobody knows what they want from this site. I could just say it's a place to talk about b-movies, cult films, exploitation, and horror. That's probably the most on point description.

Then do that. Its simple. And might not scare away people. The only reason I joined this site is because of you, but once I joined I loved it. Everyone on here is amazing, and the community built here is one of the reasons why i stayed. The challenges with movies are a plus, the games, there is a lot of reasons to be on this site, you just have to catch peoples eyes

Actually the trash side was one of the reasons I liked it. But seems most are not that much into it.

High five. I'm not quite sure why people are thinking a site with "trash" in the title needs to be more accessible to normal folk, but I'll roll with it.

If more traffic is your concern I would understand yes. But if you are happy with a small club genuinely loving trash. But a lot of these trash lovers have left or became inactive. Also people quickly grow bored of foruming, fb groups come and go and remain shitty for some real good debates. It's too superficial. Ok I have no problem with people not liking trash at least if they gave it a genuine and fair shot. But you have the types that loathe it just because they think they are too good or smart for it. That's not the types I would like to have around.

That's exactly what I was saying. If looking to increase members, maybe tweak it. If the trash side is still the main drive, then no problem.

I still feel my suggestion of the title text being made from the members members has merit. Females can contribute other female parts of their anatomy.

I had the dick logo on here for a while, but it probably wasn't a great idea at all. I thought it was too good to pass up though.
