I say......"To Be!"

Kids split up and wander around, are killed with blunt objects and sharp thingies by a masked man, until only one final girl remains. The end.

Now, where's jriddle? emoticon

The qualifications for a movie to be a slasher is a little more specific than some people think. On the surface, certain films seem like they might be, and maybe they're close, but the movies that EVERYONE agrees to be slashers usually include a killer with a more personal motive. I was watching Terror Train last night. Damaged little weirdo kills because he's butthurt over a prank. In The Burning, some guy kills because he's butthurt over a prank. F-13, Jason's mom kills because she's butthurt over her son being dead. in F-13 sequels, Jason kills because he's butthurt over his mom being dead. Leatherface kills for fun and food. Plus, he just runs all over the place, chasing them until he catches them. There's not really any hiding and stalking. Not methodical enough. Not a slasher.

I'm not saying a movie can't be a slasher if there's no motive, or that's the only thing stopping TCM from being one. It is slasher-ish, but not enough to be in that category, imo.

Halloween is far more a slasher than TCM.
