I haven’t seen some of these. I don’t really like movies like the conjuring or Annabelle. I’ve heard they were good, but I always have trouble getting into movies like them for some reason.

A lot of people don’t like the paranormal stuff, but to me it gives me more chills! They are also more jumpscare types of horror, but I like those bc those are the ones that really get me to cover my eyes and be a scardey cat🤣

Jump scares are for pussies. No offense. They've always been considered a detriment to the genre, because anyone can startle you with a loud noise, but most of the time, they feel like cop-outs. Directors claim to do them as means of relieving tension to give the audience a break, but I believe that's the absolute wrong way to go about it. Rack that tension factor to the max, and people will have trouble sleeping at night.

Huh, I definitely consider The Devil's Rejects to be horror, but not Green Room.

TDR is definitely horror. The Green Room, whilst bad-ass, is more of a thriller, but it definitely borders on horror due to its grotesque violence. If I was in their shoes, I'd absolutely be horrified at what was going on, but I agree that it doesn't quite fit the genre description.

Blind bought the Mondo Macabro Blu-ray release of Der Fan a few years ago and really liked it.

I bought that one after I'd seen it, but it instantly became a favorite of mine... you can really see why the alt title is "Trance". Schmidt and Nosbusch both get mad props, plus the soundtrack was great.
