I've never really understood this (but then, there are a lot of things in life I don't understand.)

Why does it gross people out so badly like it's the most heinous thing you can imagine finding in there? I'd be super grossed out if it was a bloody band-aid. Or a cockroach. Or a clump of hair. But like, just one hair? Just take it out. It's not that big a deal, is it? Sure, I'll tell the manager, but only so that the cook or whoever is aware and it doesn't happen to anyone else. If they wanna comp my meal, hell yeah I'll gladly accept that. I'd be a fool not to. But it's not like I'd lose my appetite or not wanna finish eating. Oh, and if the hair is found in food that I'm eating at home, like cooked by a friend or family member, I'd really be unconcerned.

And just to be clear. I'm talking about hairs on one's head, not pubic hairs. That's a whole other situation.

So, does it really sicken you to find a hair in your food?

It really depends if it has been washed beforehand. If it is in Chinese food or something, then it probably doesn't matter anyway..

One hair is a little off-putting, but then you have shit like this:

The music becoming ominous toward the end and changing pitch to match the tracking issues sold it for me.

Sometimes, I end up with one of my own hairs in my mouth whilst chewing. I try to pull it out without it breaking off in the chewed up food. Whether it works or not, still makes me kinda sick. Hair and food don't mix. Even if it's my hair.

I single hair never bothers me too much. There's a lot worse you could find in your food. If it gets stuck in the back of your throat though, that can be a problem.

If I was in a restaurant and found some random hair in my food? Hell yes I'd be sickened. I don't know where the hair came from. For all I know, the person who dropped it hasn't washed their hair in a week. I'd be too grossed out to finish eating.

At home? It bothers me, but unless it's all tangled up in the food, I can probably finish eating.

No doesn't gross me out if it's a single hair. Blood, snot or something like that yes that would gross me out.

Pubic hair now I don't want to know how that could end up in food oh well maybe in a nudist camp lol.

If you live in a nudist camp, you've probably come to expect, and maybe even look forward to, pubic hair in your food. It can always be used as dental floss after the meal emoticon

If you find a pubic hair in your food Judge Clarence Thomas may be flirting with you.

Finding anything in food that doesn't belong there is bad. I don't eat out, ever, so I don't have to worry about it much.

It would be hard to tell if a hair is normal hair or pubic hair, especially if it's in food.
